Playing With Fire
Don't deny yourself pleasure today because of what you don't yet know about the future. Play with fire.

Florence + The Machine

During this extremely busy month, I drafted this post about the music group Florence and The Machine. Unfortunately, I never had enough time to really build my argument on why you fire fighters should love the group as I do.

The week  following the MTV Video Music Awards seemed like the perfect time to post on this amazingly interesting group. Let me give you a little background on the group.

This English pop group, with lead singer Florence Welch, released their first album Lungs last year. After reaching #1 ok the UK charts, the band began its cross-over to an American audience. In doing so, their music was featured on the soundtracks of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse; Jennifer’s Body; Eat, Pray, Love; So You Think You Can Dance; Grey’s Anatomy, and many other shows and movies. Above and beyond these basics, Florence’s unique style, sound, and energy are quite intriquing. This is definitely a group to watch.

Check out the video that made me a believer,  Dog Days Are Over! The creative energy is amazing.

Check out their MTv VMA 2010 award performance!
